Confessions of a Simaholic... #9

Only one more to go after this, I'm gonna kind of miss thinking these these things up lol...

Simmer Confession #9: I have a long list of "Things I've never done" in my game... I have never sent a teen to prom, boarding school or out to play pranks on the town... I have never played out the firefighter career, daycare career, inventor career, ghost hunter or military careers among others... I have never blown anything up (and I really want to!)... I have never teleported, reached level 10 in any career, maxed out any skill, found a gnome other then the laundry gnome, taught a teen to drive or made ambrosia... I have never had twins, bought food from the food truck, had a sim in a band, crashed a party, visited the consignment store, completed a collection or went back in time... These are just a few examples of things I have never done, there is plenty more I can't think of at the moment!  Looks as if I'll be playing for a long time because I want to try everything at least once, looking over this brief list really makes me think I should be actually playing the game more then talking about it with my fellow simmers lol... Not to mention I just got Pets which adds a whole lot to the list...

Real Life Confession #9: I don't drive... I haven't since I was 19 years old, I have vision issues and got my license taken away lol, not because I was in an accident or hurt anyone but because I couldn't pass the eye test to renew... I miss it even after all these years... You really can't beat the freedom of hopping in the car and just going wherever you feel like, whenever you feel like it...At the same time I don't miss the stupidity of other drivers, expensive maintenance, gas prices and yet another thing to keep clean... I know I could probably fake a test but I'm afraid of hurting someone I would never forgive myself... I have only had one scary experience with me being the driver and it was almost backing over a dam, I was only 17 at the time lol, no harm no foul and I won't take the chance again, good thing I live near the bus stop (practically in my backyard) and my Hubby doesn't mind being my personal chauffeur...

See the little dividers in this pic? I backed over those, I mean completely over to where I was stuck almost hanging over the side....

Well the other side leads to this!! That was freaking scary!!! No question as to why my boyfriend at the time broke up with me lol, it was his car! Oops!!

Ahhh... the good old days...

Confessions of a Simaholic... #8

Simmer Confession #8: I have only played one pre-made sim in TS3... I used to play all the pre- mades in TS2, I loved the Broke family but they don't interest me in TS3... Anyhow, I adore Judy Bunch! I know most simmers pick on her but I think she's adorable! I like that she's not a "Barbie Doll" sim, she adds character to the game, a little realism... She's also the cutest elder! I don't give her a makeover either, I like her just the way she is, I do change her clothes but I do that with all sims, my sims change a lot, I don't wear the same thing all the time so why should they? Lol, here's a few pics of my fave pre- made..

Real Life Confession #8: I am madly in love with my critters!!! I'm not kidding! I just love them so much! All of them are seniors and I'm dreading the day when I lose any of them but I do have a favorite.... Her name is Zina and she's a long haired, party color Chihuahua, she is a very special little dog, she's my little road dog, she goes everywhere with me, she has been on every vacation I've been on since I got her and has even gone grocery shopping with me (in her little bag so no one would know lol)... She is 9 years old now and still acts like a puppy, I call her my forever puppy because she still looks like a puppy too and everybody thinks she's a little Lab pup or Border Collie pup when they first see her...

 I also have Lucy, the sweetest little stray on the planet!! She was found wondering the streets so we took her in, named after Lucille Ball because she is super silly, clumsy and NOISY!! She is a 7 year old Schnauzer/ Jack Russel Terrier mix as far as we can tell, my little terrierist! 

Then there's 3 cats... Leggo Kitty, my forum namesake, he's the oldest of the clan at 14 years old... He is still super healthy and playful, hard to believe he's so old... You can read about how he got his name and all about him here http://leggokatz.blogspot.com/

Minx, is my little Siamese, my Paracat I call her because she likes to ride on my shoulders, she's a very small little cat, she is 12 years old and sleeps a lot but she is very sweet and still playful, she certainly  has the Siamese meow, no problem "telling" me when she wants something! She doesn't like people (except me her Mamma) so she hides whenever anyone comes over, most people don't even know I have her... She very camera shy so I don't have any pics of her... To bad because she is a beautiful cat!

Last but not least is Nemo, he is the baby of the bunch at 6 years old, he is the strangest cat I've ever had, probably because he was raised with/ by the dogs, when someone rings the doorbell he comes running and "barking" at the door with the dogs! It's the funniest thing ever! He has such an attitude with a sense of humor, I don't even know how to describe him, the pics pretty much capture the "tude" lol...

I'm super happy to introduce you to my critter family, they mean the world to me and you'll be seeing lot's more of them!!

Confessions of a Simaholic.... #7

These are getting harder!!


Simmer confession #7 I have never completed a house... I've tried and have gotten better with practice but I still haven't manged to complete one home that I like... I do finally have one that I think is going to be a nice one if I ever manage to complete it lol, I don't know what it is that just leaves me with my eyes crossed when it comes to building... I used to build all the time in The Sims 2, to the point where I would actually dream about what I wanted to do with a particular house I was working on, I would even use some of the ideas I came up with in my dreams! I do plan to keep trying and I'm hoping the one I'm working on now will get finish, here's a few pics of what I have so far, I think it's mostly odds & ends that need some more tweaking and I still need to do the interior of the second floor...

Real  Life Confession #7: I am as addicted to TV as I am The Sims and Pepsi! I watch waaayy to much TV! I am especially fond of sitcoms and reality shows... Big Brother is my all time favorite reality show, I have watched every season and every episode! I sooo wish it was one at least twice a year! I also watch Survivor and have watched every season and every episode of that as well! Some other faves are: The Amazing Race, The Apprentice, American Idol, The X Factor and a bunch more I may add as I remember... When it comes to sitcoms I'll watch almost any of them lol, right now I love Two Broke Girls and The Big Bang Theory they're just s funny and quick- witted! I'll list some others I watch, this could take awhile ...  How I met You're Mother, Modern Family, The Middle, Raising Hope, Two and a Half Men, Hot in Cleveland (Love Betty White!!) and Mike and Molly...That's all the ones currently on that I can think of now for some older ones that I like and still watch: Everybody Loves Raymond, The King of Queens, New Adventures of Old Christine, The Nanny ( love!), Rosanne, Friends, George Lopez, That 70's Show... Oh my gosh there's so many, this could take forever so I'll just list a few more all time faves and move on... I Love Lucy (  I named my dog after her!)  I Dream of Genie, Bewitched, Gilligan'd Island (they don't have fun shows like that anymore.) Married with Children, Full House and sooo many7 more but I'll stop now lol...

I am also a HUGE Desperate Housewives fan and am so mad it's the very last season!! I also watch a lot of cooking shows like Chopped, anything with Chef Ramsey and a few others... TLC is a fave when nothing else is on, The Little People, 19 Kids and Counting, Sister Wives, Say Yes to the Dress, Extreme Couponing, Hoarders and others....Last but not least I admit I love junkfood TV! What I mean by that is E! News, The Kardashians (yes all of them), TMZ, HLN's Showbiz Tonight, The Insider... You know, gossip TV! One more honorable mention is Pawn Stars, I live in Vegas and have been in the store so I have to watch lol... Ok I'm done with what is probably my longest post yet... Told you I watch way to much TV....

Oh wait! I wanted to mention real quick, there are 3 shows I can not stand, I hate them I simply dislike them in any way shape or form... They are... 1) South Park 2)Sponge Bob and 3)Family Guy! I really don't know why but these shows are like fingernails on a chalkboard to me...

Confessions of a Simaholic... #6

Hmmm... these get harder as I go....

Simmer confession #6: I'm starting to change my mind about fantasy sims (ya, I know, already?)... Well winged sims anyway... I find that I am really enjoying creating angel and fairy sims, they are just so pretty! It's also quite funny to watch them do the normal things with these big wings on their back, like driving a car (Batmobile!), or sleeping, even swimming and working out! It's sooo funny!! I'm sure it's just a phase and it might have something to do with Christmas, seems all I've made so far is Christmas/ Holiday themed winged ones... Did I mention how pretty I think they are?

Real life confession #6: I pretty much hate to shop! Especially grocery shopping or any that has to be done at Walmart, I seriously loathe that store with a passion! I'm really not your typical woman when it comes to shopping, the lines , the snotty employees, disorganized racks of stuff I don't want or even like, screaming kids who are out of control, spending money I don't have.... The whole things just gets on my nerves... If it was up to me I'd order everything online and call in take- out or delivery to eat every night, I should have been around back in the days of bag boys bringing your order from the market and milk men lol.... There are times when I do enjoy getting together with the girls and doing a tiny bit of shopping but I would rather go out for lunch and cocktails by the pool any day!! After spending so much time shopping lately I knew I had to post this confession, I'm just about done with my Christmas shopping finally and I feel like I must have gained a few gray hairs, I just know my nerves and maybe a few brain cells have been damaged for life!

Update on the Monkey....

Just wanted to update ya'll on the weird gift notice situation.... Turns out it was for badges that everyone got, I just didn't notice because I had already received mine lol.... Such a relief! Seriously sometimes I wonder why I even bother with the official site, there's so many other places to enjoy the game through and so much free CC that is way better then EA items... I guess it's because I've met some pretty cool people there and in some ways find the drama that goes on entertaining in a soap opera kind of way.... Anyhow all is safe in my little Sim world again lol....



Confession update tomorrow!

Wait, what???

K so I've been on a bit of a gifting spree lately (it's Christmas!), a bit earlier I noticed that I had a message saying I had 4 gifts, I though that was kind of odd in itself, I've never gotten 4 gifts at one time but I figured some one was probably just returning the favor... So I click on the gift page and this is what I see...

????? 

Ummm ok? Thinking no big deal, it must have been an error right? Then I decide to click on the gifters page and see this...

I just thought the whole thing was really weird,  no gift but there is a message (congratulations for what? And not just once but 4 times!), it's in the gift section which I know can only be accessed through sending a gift or by an EA representative, a page that says "simguru" ( I know that doesn't mean anything), the so called "guru" has no games registered, no friends,  an empty studio and and nothing written anywhere on their page, the only thing I did notice was that they have a few badges and stickers that have been gifted to them, just totally odd.....  Why does the strange stuff seem to follow me around? Now I'll be super leery of any gifts I get in the future, I'm just not sure what to make of this... I tell ya them forums bring out the paranoia in me!

Okay, let's get back on track here...

Simmer Confession #5: If I wouldn't wear it my sims won't wear it... For the most part anyway, I tend to dress my female sims in clothes I would wear and my males in clothes I like on guys, I have exceptions of course I mean there needs to be a little variety... Here's a couple of examples... these are actually made to mimic things I own and wear...

Real Life Confession #5: I have a nail fetish (no, it's not like that!), I absolutely LOVE to do manicures!! I have hundreds of bottles of nail polish and just about every tool and design kit you could think of! It started when I was a little girl watching my Grandma doing her nails, I was fascinated by it, all the wonderful colors and the little designs one could create! Just like my Christmas decorations the brighter and tackier the better! I do them about every 2 weeks, it's been a favorite hobby for years and it's very inexpensive to do, here's a few examples... The first pic is my naked nails...
